Rebellion - oil painting
Once a well known painter said to us (students) 'Guys, just please, P L E A S E never paint sunsets!!!' He had seen so many bad interpretations, he had enough... I think. So good or bad... this is my rebellion.

Orange Juice - oil painting
This painting was George's wish, because he loved my Apple juice painting so much. So he ordered something similar. So I took that jug and filled it up... with oranges. And to top it all I took a pic at halftime of the painting. I like the black gessoed base so much!

Where Is My Spoon?
We drink our teas mostly with lemon on this part of the globe.
It is not so relevant information... but
where is MY SPOON?
I painted this still life on a vivid orange base, which is a bit unusual choice
but I am happy with that
because this way my whites got new life and warm tone.

3 Bottles
It is simple like that: as the sun came out I have seen my colorful bottles with new eyes. There were nice and colorful shadows and wow... I melt like an ice cube. A simple composition begging for painting. I couldn't resist.

Sunny side up - oil painting
It is not a question that we long for the sunny side if we are in shadow. And backwards.
One is for sure: where we are is never good enough.
Anyway, this painting is good enough for me, I loved painting it.

Electric Grapefruits
Electricity... wow, after so many years I am still wondering, even if I am not the one who remembers when the first electric light bulbs were lit.
And those type of bulbs are out of date. So If want to paint one I have to chase one, like old those old charcoal type irons. Yes, this light bulb is an old one.

Roses -small still life
Experiment with roses. I have been in rose painting mood, but I couldn't find 'the' composition that is mine.
As I am drawn to paint strong lights and shadows, my experiment ended up a waterless composition.
May be that these roses don't get water, hopefully I conserved their beauty other way.
I risk ... strong shadows... unusual composition... What do you think?

Tower - still life, oil painting
Melontower and Strawberrytop.
If I were a fancy foodblogger or candidate in a cooking show, this would be my entry. Oh, not much cooking, that is right. But I love colors. Beautiful reds on red. Who can overtop this simple beauty?

See-through 1.
It is so much fun to touch, feel, wear see-trough fabrics. And I realized how much fun to paint them. Normally I paint on panels, but this time I painted on linen. Well, it is fun the see-through fabric and struggle to paint on this surface, gesso doesn't help much...
May be I am snobbish... 'linen is so hard for me', silk is my favorite.
And to have a photo... well... it is not the best one, you have to see-through.
No matter what, I wanted to share.

Sunbathing - dog painting
Have you seen small creatures bathing in the sun lately?
First phase is sitting and looking clever and alert.
It takes a minute or so.
Next phase is looking tired and laying down a bit. 30 sec.
And then the Big Relaxation.

Small Balaton - oil, painting
In my small county we have a lake called Balaton. It is officially (scientifically) not even a lake because it is too shallow. But: for us it is so precious like ocean for others.
There is a much smaller corner by the lake just a few kilometers from Balatonszemes, I don't even know the name of it. It is just a small waterside and full of life. I mean really full of life, birds and bugs and grasses and trees, and the noise of the whole world.
This painting is born from my love of this small piece of world.

A Bunch of Green Onions - small oil painting
It is evident that we put flowers in vase.
But what can I do if I fell in love with green onions?
A whole bunch of them.
Well... I put them in a vase. They smell delicious.
My only concern is to cut or not to cut the tiny roots.
Well, I treat them like flowers, so roots have to go.
I hope it is not blind love.
There was so much to see ... and paint.

Morning, no Coffee - small oil painting
If you are a caffeiner-type in the morning,
than it is easy for you to capture the moment
you realize that there's no coffee at home.
But the still-life-situation is solved.
Empty cup, 3 tomatoes. Food for the eye.

Flowering Happens - small, amaryllis oil painting
Sometimes we just wait for flowering. It seems, time has not come, not yet. And there is that miraculous moment, when flowering happens. Where is it come from? There is nothing in that bulb, no flower.
How can a flower like this be hidden inside? Miraculous.

My Blogfriend - small, dog, oil painting
This is my blogfriend, Chester. Say hello to him. We meet a few times a month. Yes, yes, he has someone (Melody) he uses as his technician because blogging is hard work.
So we are virtual friends. I don't know if I could smell good for him or not - even if it's important for dogs - we have never met in person, but I adore him from distance.
And the moment I felt the urgent need to paint a dog, it was him in my mind. Enjoy!

3 Pieces of Cherries - Oil Painting
3 pieces of cherries before season.
Tell me, if your cherries are already ripened in your garden,
I am just hungry for them. Otherwise I have to wait.
Few more weeks... may be.
In order to get more of these precious cherries,
I put them on a mirror...
it's an old greengrocer's trick.

Apple Day- oil painting
It is fun to paint an apple. More apples are more fun.
One reason is the 'model' is eatable,
so the pleasure factor is double.
Do you need more?
That is why I don't gravitate to crocodiles or tuskers...
